Dr. LAURA FABRIS

Prof. Laura Fabris received her B.S./M.S. degree in Chemistry in 2001 from the University of Padova, where she was awarded a PhD in 2006. She was then a postdoc at the University of California Santa Barbara. In 2009 she moved to Rutgers University in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering where she remained first as Assistant then as Associate Professor. Upon receiving an ERC Consolidator Grant, she moved to Politecnico di Torino (Italy) in the Department of Applied Science and Technology where she is a Full Professor. Her research combines fundamental notions of nanomaterials chemistry and spectroscopy for the development of new technologies addressing important challenges in medicine, biology, and energy.
